Hon. Monday Odigwe Receives Executive Intelligence Management Award from Nigerian Institute for Security Studies

The Executive Chairman of Ika North East Local Government Area, Hon. Monday Odigwe, has been conferred with the prestigious Executive Intelligence Management Award by Syndicate 4 of the Nigerian Institute for Security Studies (NISS), Abuja.

The award presentation took place at the council secretariat in Owa Oyibu during a courtesy visit by the Syndicate 4 team as part of their national study tour. Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Hygienus Ngele explained that the group—which comprises participants from various African nations and senior officers from all major security agencies in Nigeria—was on a mission to assess impactful leadership across local government areas.

According to Mr. Ngele, the decision to honour Hon. Odigwe followed a thorough evaluation of the developmental projects and security improvements recorded under his administration.

In his response, Hon. Odigwe expressed gratitude to the delegation for the recognition and outlined several infrastructure and social development initiatives already undertaken by his administration. He reaffirmed his commitment to service delivery and assured the visitors that more transformative projects are underway.

On the security front, the council chairman proudly stated that Ika North East LGA has witnessed significant peace and stability, with a marked reduction in criminal activities, particularly kidnapping.

The highlight of the occasion was the formal presentation of the Executive Intelligence Management Award to Hon. Monday Odigwe, marking yet another milestone in his leadership journey.
