Measles-Rubella Spot Check Team Commends Hon. Monday Odigwe for Strengthening Primary Health Care in Ika North-East LGA

The Measles-Rubella Post Introduction Spot Check Team has praised the Executive Chairman of Ika North-East Local Government Area, Hon. (Amb.) Monday Odigwe, for his outstanding commitment to advancing primary health care in Ika North-East LGA, Delta State.

 

Spot Check Team Visits Ika North-East LGA

The commendation was made during an official visit by the team, led by the Executive Director of the Delta State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Paul Yinkore, to the Council Chairman at his office in Owa-Oyibu, the administrative headquarters of the LGA.

Dr. Yinkore noted that Ika North-East has distinguished itself among Local Government Areas in Delta State through its effective implementation of primary healthcare programs and strong alignment with state health policies.


Ika North-East Recognized for Effective Primary Healthcare Delivery

According to the team, Ika North-East ranks among the top-performing LGAs in delivering efficient, accessible, and community-focused healthcare services. The successful rollout of the Measles-Rubella vaccination programme was highlighted as a key achievement contributing to improved health outcomes in the area.


Leadership of Hon. Monday Odigwe Applauded

Dr. Yinkore commended Hon. Odigwe’s leadership, describing it as proactive, result-driven, and dedicated to grassroots development in Delta State. He emphasized that the Chairman’s administration has played a vital role in strengthening healthcare systems and improving service delivery.

He further encouraged the Council Chairman to sustain the momentum, especially as the Delta State Government prepares to launch another major health campaign across all 25 Local Government Areas.
